The Faces


  • We girls were out shopping when we saw an advertisement board shouting out "All for 100" !!

Well....what more did we have to think?? In all the 7 of us went and I happend to see a plain olive green top, that too for just ₹100 :)
I bought the top and gave it a complete make over.
I call this "Faces" because these are unique faces of women , a type of painting I've never done before.



The evolution -


Time for some modelling ;)

I combined it with a yellow dupatta and pant.
I love the silver jwellery they are wearing so i got a similar one for myself :)


But I must say , buying cheap clothes do have their down side.
I had to paint the cloth over and over again as all the paint simply seeped through the cloth onto the plastic sheet I had kept underneath!!

I had to apply almost 3 coatings to get the final look. :(
So just a piece of advice- if you're planning to do a painting always get good quality cloth.
Never fall for the discount sales ( because girls always do).
But then if its spontaneous , like I did, there's nothing we can do ;)

Colours Colours Colours

This time I went for a totally new way and I loved it so much (its not the result I expected but its a start anyway). Orange dominates a bit more than I wanted but then this type of art never comes out the way you expect. It will always go the way it likes. This is the most amazing way anyone can become a master artist and create a unique piece that no one can ever copy, not in a million years. All you need is a canvas, lots of paint and time to get your hands dirty! I didn't prepare my canvas, just diluted the acrylic with a few drops of water. Then its just pour and swirl!! 😃 Finally the touchups on the small areas the paint couldn't get to. Again this was inspired by a YouTube video by MelyD artist. Thankyou MelyD! A Dance With Dots

Dots or points, as insignificant as it might seem, becomes compelling and beautiful when they combine. Similarly you might consider yourself as an insignificant part in this world but the minute good deeds you do will finally add up to something bigger or better. It might be as simple as holding the door for someone or helping someone overburdened with luggages. It will be remembered and karma has a way of finding its way back. You get what you give. Atleast that's what I'd like to believe. Brightening my wall This is the 3rd painting in the Buddha Series. It is a 10"×12" canvas and took me 2 days to complete. The practice piece I did helped me a lot in understanding how to place the dots, about what colours to use and different techniques that can be applied for a better result.
