Mural Magic

My devotion to Kerala Mural Paintings started a few years ago when I was gifted with a diary which had a mural painting on its cover.
I tried recreating it on a chart paper and.....here it is -

My first Mural Painting-

First I drew the outline on a white chart paper and then the background in a gradient technique with 4 similar colours.
Since I was using watercolor the outlines were clearly visible after doing the background.
Next I started painting....



Once the paint dried I did the outlines with black.
I pasted it on a black chart sightly bigger than the white chart so that it would get a framed effect!
Before doing the outlines - a contrast picture to see the difference borders can make in a mural painting. 

This can be framed and put up on your walls or else gifted to your loved ones!

Colours Colours Colours

This time I went for a totally new way and I loved it so much (its not the result I expected but its a start anyway). Orange dominates a bit more than I wanted but then this type of art never comes out the way you expect. It will always go the way it likes. This is the most amazing way anyone can become a master artist and create a unique piece that no one can ever copy, not in a million years. All you need is a canvas, lots of paint and time to get your hands dirty! I didn't prepare my canvas, just diluted the acrylic with a few drops of water. Then its just pour and swirl!! 😃 Finally the touchups on the small areas the paint couldn't get to. Again this was inspired by a YouTube video by MelyD artist. Thankyou MelyD! A Dance With Dots

Dots or points, as insignificant as it might seem, becomes compelling and beautiful when they combine. Similarly you might consider yourself as an insignificant part in this world but the minute good deeds you do will finally add up to something bigger or better. It might be as simple as holding the door for someone or helping someone overburdened with luggages. It will be remembered and karma has a way of finding its way back. You get what you give. Atleast that's what I'd like to believe. Brightening my wall This is the 3rd painting in the Buddha Series. It is a 10"×12" canvas and took me 2 days to complete.
