Practicing My Dots

Two dots are random
Three dots make a pattern
And lots of them make art 😄

Dots can be fun and dots can be art.
Well, this is a practice piece for my 3rd painting in the Buddha Series.
And yes it means the second one is ready 😀 but it'll take a little longer to post.
Meanwhile I'm having fun dotting.
What i love about this work is that those dots look like precious little jewels emulating the glow of Lord Buddha.

Lady with the Lotus - Mural painting on Kerala Saree

Kerala saree looks beautiful on almost everyone and my first Kerala saree was a birthday gift from my mom. I was planning to do an elaborate painting on a saree and what better way to start than on your own?! The saree being my own I didn't have to be afraid even if anything went wrong! It took me a week to complete this design and I wore it to college for our batch day celebration. :) (The original image was downloaded from a website) Here comes the Lady with the Lotus: I started with the head part. As I'm not professionally trained in mural painting or any other art forms I do what I think might be right. I recently read that each and every part in a mural painting has a unique proportion. A Dance With Dots

Dots or points, as insignificant as it might seem, becomes compelling and beautiful when they combine. Similarly you might consider yourself as an insignificant part in this world but the minute good deeds you do will finally add up to something bigger or better. It might be as simple as holding the door for someone or helping someone overburdened with luggages. It will be remembered and karma has a way of finding its way back. You get what you give. Atleast that's what I'd like to believe. Brightening my wall This is the 3rd painting in the Buddha Series. It is a 10"×12" canvas and took me 2 days to complete.
