Heaven On Earth
Heaven is a beautiful dream and earth is the reality which exists.
So what exactly is heaven?
Is it the sky? The millions of stars in it? The far away planets and galaxies? And can you see heaven while you're on earth?
Everyone has their own perspectives about heaven, even its very existence is doubtful. But for me it's where everything is pure and perfection is at its epitome.
It's when you feel love in its purest form and detachment from all worldy aspects that you experience heaven.
Lord Buddha was someone who transcended the expectations of a mere human being and reached enlightenment throught his efforts and thirst for true knowledge.
He never intended his followers to form a religion out of his teachings.
Instead Buddhism was always meant to be a way of life. His teachings were supposed to lift mankind from all worldly sufferings.
It's not everyday that such an individual is born with the sole purpose of bettering the human world. Gautama Buddha was one such person who attained heaven even while living on earth. Such was his love for all living beings and contentment with life.
He tried to create a heaven for everyone through his teachings and way of life.
All of us can infact create our own little heavens I believe, through love, compassion and satisfaction with whatever we have.
(All I'm saying is we need not wait for death to take us there, I mean who knows where we're going to end up. 😂)
Heaven On Earth is the last painting in this series.
This painting has been done on a 18"×24" canvas with acrylics.
It took me 5 days to complete and majority of the colourings have been done with Pearl Acrylics, something I've not attempted before.
Pearl colours have given the painting an extra shine I feel.

The Evolution
Creating a series pushed me to do more paintings in such a short time.
I do not know if I'll come back and do more Buddha paintings but for now its a wrap on the series. A journey of 7 months, that's how long it took for this series to reach completion. ☺
